A More Permanent Answer for Your Vision

How do you think your life would improve if you didn’t have to rely so much on your glasses? Would you feel more confident?

If you’re looking for a more permanent solution for your blurry vision, laser eye surgery may be the perfect choice for you. Not everyone is suited for this type of surgery, but we can help determine your candidacy during one of our comprehensive consultations.

All you have to do is book a consultation with our team. We’re happy to take care of the rest.

Consultations &
Co-Management

Laser eye surgery consultations are fully comprehensive eye exams designed to determine if laser eye surgery can improve your vision. This surgery is meant to help correct refractive problems with your vision, including myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism.

It’s important to note that having laser eye surgery doesn’t guarantee 20/20 vision. Some patients still need to wear glasses or contact lenses to have the clearest vision possible, but about 90% of patients find that they achieve 20/20 or 20/40 vision without eyewear.

During the exam, we’ll look for various vision and eye health conditions that could affect your candidacy for eye surgery.

Some of these conditions can include:

Once we determine you can have the surgery safely, we can refer you to an ophthalmologist to perform the surgery.

Co-management is the process of ensuring your eyes heal properly from surgery and deliver clearer vision.

We work closely with your ophthalmologist and schedule several follow-up appointments to monitor your progress. It’s normal to experience some side effects after the surgery, including:

  • Glare
  • Dry eyes
  • Light sensitivity
  • Blurry vision
  • Discomfort

But these are normal to the healing process. If your symptoms become more severe, please contact us immediately.

What Is LASIK Eye Surgery?

Gartner & Galstian Vision Care is proud to offer LASIK eye surgery consultations. LASIK has become one of the most widely performed and accepted form of laser vision correction.

During LASIK (laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis) eye surgery, your eyes are numbed before your ophthalmologist makes a small incision in the outermost corneal layer, creating a thin flap that folds open on a hinge.

Folding the lens open gives your surgeon access to underlying corneal tissue. They then reshape this tissue using a special tool called an excimer laser to your desired prescription.
