With Style & Finesse, We Protect Your Eyes
We love our annual eye exams because they give us an excuse to search for new glasses! But eye exams are so much more important for your health than updating your prescription. They’re also essential tools for detecting vision-threatening eye diseases, checking your eye health and visual skills, and even diagnosing health conditions not obviously related to your eyes.
Our team at The Classical Eye is committed to providing you and your family with eye care that’s uniquely tailored to your specific needs. We use advanced diagnostic technology and tried-and-true eye care techniques to provide you with accurate and accessible results.
Plus, our exams are full-service! If you have questions about your eye health or common diseases, or you’re looking for new eyewear or contact lenses, just let us know! Our team is always happy to help.
Why Are Eye Exams Important?
No matter your age or how well you see, eye exams are essential tools for preventive healthcare. They’re designed to keep your eyes healthy and your vision clear. They also play a key role in protecting your overall health.
Your eyes are uniquely connected to the rest of your body through their blood vessels, nerves, and connective tissues. Often, signs of health problems can show up in your eyes first, making your optometrist one of the first members of your healthcare team able to suggest treatments or refer you for extra care.
Ultimately, our goal is to protect your eyes from vision-threatening eye diseases that can develop with no symptoms. Often, a patient with an eye disease is unaware there’s a problem until irreversible damage has already occurred. Our trained team—using the latest eye care tests and diagnostic technology—is committed to preventing this from happening.
Some eye conditions we can diagnose during an eye exam include:
How Often Are Eye Exams Needed?
Although every patient is different and has different eye needs, we recommend seeing us for annual eye exams. When you visit us every year, not only do we get to know your eyes and eye concerns, but we get to know you! You are why we do this, after all.
Once we get to know you, your optometrist may recommend a different schedule for you. Ultimately, your medical history, health concerns, and unique eye care needs affect how often we’ll need to see you. If you’re considered “high-risk,” we might need to see you more often.
